Huge news for developers building with Next.js on Netlify! As of last week, Netlify now offers full support for Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR) including support for revalidate and time to live (TTL). The latest version of the Essential Next.js plugin also includes support for redirects, beta support for Middleware, and a bunch of efficiency enhancements.
ISR, DPR, DSG… there are a lot of acronyms floating around to describe the different rendering modes available for apps on the Jamstack. We're enjoying this post by Brian Rinaldi that breaks it all down and explains when to use what. Give it a read!
