| This month's release of Functions brought big changes to the JAMstack and we are excited to see what you'll build! Grow your site with new tutorials and tips on using dynamic tools and integrations. A few new tutorials will make it easier for you to check out Functions, our latest release that lets you deploy AWS Lambda Functions along with your front end. Check out Phil's overview on how to roll your own URL shortener or Matt's take on using Functions with Identity to access and update user metadata. We tend to focus this newsletter on helping you make the most of Netlify, but there's a lot more to the platform than meets the eye. Our CTO David Calavera recently shared details on how Netlify's deploying and routing infrastructure works — and what makes features like atomic rollbacks, Deploy Previews, and split testing possible.
We're huge fans of podcasts over here at Netlify. In between episodes of Reply All and 99% Invisible we like to get caught up on all things web development. Some of our favorite podcasts have been covering the JAMstack. Here are a few to add to your queue: Syntax - Why static sites are awesome (and ways to take them further) ShopTalk - What happens when your site needs a weather widget Toolsday - How Netlify can make your dev life more productive JAMstack Radio - The future of documentation with Jessica Parsons We love talking to you on Twitter and Gitter, but it's nice to put a face with a name. In the next few months we're heading to some conferences and meetups and we'd love to say hello. Come by and see us if you'll be around. Smashing Conference, San Francisco Write the Docs, Portland JAMstack Meetup, London Fluent Conference, San Jose WebConf Asia, Hong Kong
