A few new tutorials will make it easier for you to check out Functions, our latest release that lets you deploy AWS Lambda Functions along with your front end. Check out Phil's overview on how to roll your own URL shortener or Matt's take on using Functions with Identity to access and update user metadata.
We tend to focus this newsletter on helping you make the most of Netlify, but there's a lot more to the platform than meets the eye. Our CTO David Calavera recently shared details on how Netlify's deploying and routing infrastructure works — and what makes features like atomic rollbacks, Deploy Previews, and split testing possible.
